At Southwood we are passionate about introducing people to God and helping them grow in their faith. We are first and foremost a church family that is big on community and authenticity. Ministry Position:  First Response Outreach Team Member
Ministry Description: The Lord is at work all around us in our community.  The goal of the First Response Outreach Team is to encourage and equip the people of the church to get involved in that work by effectively sharing Christ’s love with the people of South Windsor.  Members of the team pray for the ministry of outreach, share ideas, help with the planning and implementation of outreach events and initiatives, and encourage members of the church to get involved.

Ministry Description: Preparing coffee/refreshments for Friendship Focus/Preparing communion elements.

Ministry Description: Preparing and delivering hot meals to families within our church community who are dealing with a medical crisis/death in the family or celebrating the birth of a child (a few times per year).

Ministry Position:  Nursery OR Age 2/3 Class Assistant
Ministry Description:  Nursery -Loving and cuddling our sweet little babies while their parents enjoy the Gathering  (one Sunday every month) Age 2/3 – Loving our sweet 2 and 3 year olds and assisting the class teacher during class time and large group time.  You’ll get to LOVE our friend, Sunny the puppet and you’ll be surprised how much you’ll learn about the love of our Saviour!  (two Sundays every 2 months) BOTH THESE POSITIONS REQUIRE A POLICE CLEARANCE (ARRANGED FOR AND PAID BY SOUTHWOOD) AND ACCEPTANCE OF OUR “PLAN TO PROTECT” POLICIES  (READ & SIGN).

Ministry Description: Greeting as people arrive, handing out Community News Bulletins and receiving offering (one Sunday per month).  You can service and not miss the Gathering!

Ministry Position:  Kids’ Kwire Set Crew – Design/Build/Paint
Ministry Description: This crew would involve a Designer, Builder and Painter – pick one or two and work with a great crew!  Designing, Building and Preparing the Kids’ Kwire set for Easter 2010.  All materials supplied (with a limited budget).  Come out and share your creative genius with us!
