Our Campuses

Southwood Community Church is a multi-site church with two congregations currently meeting in Essex County.  Our South Windsor Campus was established in 2001 for the purpose of serving and reaching the south end of Windsor.  Our Sunday Gathering meets in rented facilities at Maranatha Christian Academy located at 939 Northwood St.  Our Slavic Language Campus was established in 2008 to reach people from the former Yugoslavia living in Essex County and meets at 5265 Howard Ave, in a church facility owned by Southwood Community Church.  Both campuses adhere to a common doctrine, and share a common vision, mission, core value statement and leadership.  As one church serving different communities, we also share four staff members and many midweek ministries while maintaining distinct Sunday services and outreach ministries geared to serve our target communities.  Lord willing, we hope to plant other campuses strategically located in the southernmost tip of Ontario.

South Windsor Campus

Our South Windsor Campus began in the fall of 2001 for the purpose of reaching out to the people of South Windsor. This area of our community has experienced rapid growth through the construction of multiple subdivisions and businesses from the mid 1990s onward. Primarily composed of middle to middle-upper class citizens, few evangelical churches exist in this region to reach the population. God has blessed us with significant growth since our inception and we’re looking forward to continuing to build relationships with the residents of our community and introduce them to the Lord Jesus Christ.

Our South Windsor Campus meets Sundays at Maranatha Christian Academy at 939 Northwood St.

Slavic Language Campus

Our Slavic Language Campus was launched in the fall of 2008 for the purpose of reaching out to people of southern Slavic descent across Essex County. Thousands of Serbians, Croatians and Slovaks have immigrated to this region over the past few decades. While evangelical Christians are a small minority in the former Yugoslavia, our Slavic congregation exists to minister to these people groups and share God’s life-changing message of hope. Sunday AM services are primarily in English with some Slavic music added for flair, and Sunday PM services are held entirely in one of the Slavic languages.

Our Slavic Language Campus meets Sundays at our Ministry Centre at 5265 Howard Ave.

Daughter Church in Lakeshore

The leadership of Southwood is pleased to commission our Student Life Pastor to plant a new church in the Belle River area in early 2010.  While “Northshore Community Church” will not be a campus of Southwood we anticipate a close working relationship as Dan builds a team of people to reach the Lakeshore community for Christ.

If you would like to find out more about this exciting new initiative, call Pastor Dan at 519-726-5024.
